ASHBURN, Va. — A person has died following a shooting at the XCAL Shooting Sports & Fitness facility in Ashburn, Virginia, on Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2026.
First responders with Loudoun County Fire and Rescue and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office were called to XCAL, located at 44950 Russell Branch Parkway in the One Loudoun area, following reports of a shooting. XCAL identifies the facility as a shooting sports and fitness complex in Ashburn.
The victim was initially reported to have suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victim later died from their injuries.
According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting involved a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities are investigating the death as an apparent suicide.
